Overview
For times when you need a serious on-camera lighting solution, Leica has developed the powerful SF 64 Flash with an impressive guide number of 210' at ISO 100 and 200mm. Offering completely automatic metering thanks to TTL support with select cameras, the SF 64 will make shooting a breeze and with a wide zoom range of 24-200mm, which can be expanded to 12mm with the built-in panel, users will be able to use nearly any lens in their arsenal without worry. For additional versatility, the flash head can tilt from -9 to 90° as well as rotate right 120° and left 180° for full bounce capabilities. Additionaly, a bonus in the form of wireless slave triggering can give photographers control over the light in their scene.
Making this flash unique is the use of a secondary light reflector with two output levels for creating very even illumination on your subject. There is also a color LCD touchscreen on the rear of the flash for quickly accessing and changing settings and a modeling flash will help users preview the look of shadows before taking a shot. The SF 64 boasts a recycle time of 0.1-4.4 seconds and runs on just 4 AA batteries. Multiple sync settings can be accessed for the ultimate in creativity with slow, high-speed, 1st and 2nd curtain options. Finally, the flash is equipped with a USB port for updating the firmware.
