The ease of servo and manual operation is great for shooting movies in professional applications - Manual rings provided for zoom, focus and iris operations as well as servo operations or manual operations can be selected by the user whichever ones fit best with the requirements of the shoot.

The compact servo spots a 9-bladed iris diaphragm for attractive bokehs. Various EF communication functions for video capture are supported by passing signals through EF mount such as acquiring lens metadata (like focal lengths, f-stop and lens model), peripheral illumination compensation (selected camera models only), Push Auto Iris and Focus Guide.
